Story Synopsis

The Inciting Incident

Maya, a weary but fiercely devoted single mother, is barely holding it together as she raises her quiet, asthmatic 11-year-old son, Aiden. When Aiden is found unconscious after being bullied at school, officials blame his asthma. Maya knows something far darker happened.

The Search for Truth

Haunted by fragments of fear she believes are coming from Aiden's silence, Maya becomes consumed with uncovering the truth. When the school and authorities refuse to act, she kidnaps Jordan, the boy she believes is responsible, and demands answers.

The Darker Discovery

As Jordan opens up, Maya discovers he is a child trapped in abuse himself. What began as revenge becomes a deeper nightmare as she uncovers violence in his home and a trafficking operation hidden beneath the surface.

The Reckoning and Redemption

A violent confrontation exposes the truth and leads to the rescue of three girls. Though Maya is arrested, her actions bring justice to the system geared. In the end, Aiden awakens, Jordan apologizes, forgiveness begins, and two wounded boys are given a second chance to heal.
